In Harrold, Texas the School Board has voted unanimously to allow certain teachers and faculty to be armed in school. The teachers and faculty who would be able to carry in shcool would have to be approved and undergo training. According to Harrold’s School Superintendent, David Thweatt in an interview on Tom Gresham’s Gun Talk Radio show, Mr Thweatt stated that the individuals who will be armed on school grounds will be undergoing several hours of specialized training that has been designed specifically for their needs.
Texas Gov. Rick Perry indicated Monday that he supports the school district’s decision to allow teachers and staff to carry guns for protection.
